MBI6328 is an advanced 48-channel high power constant current full-array local dimming (FALD) backlighting LED driver for large-mid LCD panel applications. The innovative architecture with embedded SRAM is designed to support up to 1:8 time-multiplexing and control up to 384 LED dimming zones application using internal Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) control with selectable 14 / 13 / 12-bit color depth and independent current dimming control (of each LED current sink) to improve contrast ratio for HDR applications.
The embedded S-PWM technology easily reduces the flickers and improves the image fidelity when MBI6328 displays.
Both compulsory and real-time LED error open/short detection and protection are included during both start-up and normal operation. Besides, MBI6328 also provides DC/DC feedback control, ghost elimination function and over temperature protection features.
