Depending on LED’s characteristics, the brightness of an LED is usually directly proportional to its forward current. Analog dimming refers to the adjustment of the LED brightness via the adjustment of the LED driver IC’s forward current. With analog dimming, there will be no flickering in light fixtures using on-off type dimming.
