In traditional cascade designs, one additional wire—connecting from the last light fixture to the control system—is required in order for driver ICs to receive information from light fixtures. With I/O Bi-Direction Transmission, the same wire connecting the controller to the ICs is used to report information back to the control system. This not only improves communication between control systems and light fixtures but also saves wire costs.
