LED displays continue to expand their application landscapes. More end users are now adopting LED screens for major events and venues—bringing these technologies closer to everyday life. Meanwhile, in areas such as commercial backlighting, automotive displays, and lighting, LED technology is being used to enhance HDR performance and deliver an improved driving experience. As a leading driver IC supplier, Macroblock actively contributes to advancing these innovative applications and unlocking the full potential of LED technology.

At ISE 2026, Macroblock presents its LED display theme — “Everyone Is a Photographer.” With the rise of social and personal media, LED displays have become an essential visual medium. Photography is no longer limited to professionals; today, everyone captures moments with their smartphones. As a result, LED screens must be camera-friendly to ensure that even everyday users can take visually stunning photos and videos of them. This enables brands to achieve viral exposure through user-generated content.
DaVinci Series Enhances the Emotional Economy Through Immersive Experiences
LED displays, with their enormous screen sizes and rich color performance, create immersive atmospheres that no other display technology can replicate. For this reason, LED displays are widely used in live events, such as concerts, exhibitions, trade shows, and iconic corporate walls to deliver positive and engaging audience experiences.
These experiences enhance the emotional economy, enabling audiences to connect with brands on a deeper level. In order to address diverse application requirements, Macroblock provides a comprehensive range of driver IC solutions, including:

End Users Can Evaluate Screen Performance with Quantitative Data through “AI-Powered Quality Grading for LED Screens”
AI has become a key focus across industries. In respond, Macroblock introduces the framework and Phase I demonstration of its AI-Powered Quality Grading System for LED Screens. This system enables display performance to be evaluated of quantitative metrics rather than relying solely on human judgement. In the next phase, Macroblock will incorporate end-user feedback to further refine the system and accelerate its time to market.

Commercial Backlight, Automotive Display and Lighting Success Stories
Macroblock’s commercial backlight solution has been successfully applied in a drone console (7.02” / FALD 384 zones), developed in collaboration with ELAN Microelectronics and HUNGLIXIANSHI. The display features 2,000 nits of peak brightness, a contrast ratio exceeding one million, and supports real-time HDR performance.
In the automotive sector, Macroblock’s CID solution (16.3”; FALD>1,300 zones) demonstration has been adopted by a NASDAQ-listed automaker. This project marks the world’s first mini-LED backlight automotive display, jointly developed with Hiway Technology.
Macroblock has also partnered with JING WANG Electronics to deliver an ambient lighting solution for a Japan Tier-1 automaker. The design incorporates the “Shy Tech” concept, using specialized materials for the lighting cover to seamlessly blend into the car interior, enhancing visual harmony and overall design consistency.
