Macroblock released Hawkeye 150 in 2020. To meet the market demand of high-scan LED display design, Hawkeye 150 can support 64 scans and above without sacrificing image quality. That is because Hawkeye 150 is embedded “novel low grayscale processing circuit” that helps solve commonly seen low grayscale problems, such as non-linear gradient and high contrast interference problems.

In addition, the Hawkeye 150 is embedded with the“PWM enhancement” function that is key to the visual performance of high-end displays. It can magnify very low PWM input frequency internally. Thus, even if the external input frequency is low; the IC can still make the display achieve a high refresh rate and high grayscale performance. That is why MBI5264 can have HDR-Optimized* performance at a 64-scan design. Also, a driver IC with a “PWM enhancement function” can have low frequency and pass the EMC test easier.

For Hawkeye 150, Macroblock recommends MOSFETs to match each driver IC, respectively.
