The MBI6672 is an N-channel MOSFET controller for step down constant current regulator. It offers wide input voltage range and low current sense threshold of 250mV for different LED light applications with high efficiency performance. The MBI6672 is an ideal device for buck topology operating and up to 5A to achieve high current requirement.
The constant-OFF-time control and peak current detection of MBI6672 achieves high current accuracy without control loop compensation. Shunt dimming, achieved by external N-channel MOSFET, provides good linearity and high resolution, up to 10000:1. The MBI6672 also features under voltage lock out and thermal shutdown protections to enhance the reliability of lighting system. The MBI6672 provides TSSOP-14 package with thermal pad to enhance heat dissipation.
