The PrecisionDrive™ LED Driver series comprises 16-bit and 8-bit LED drivers, dedicated for panel display. All the series exploits state-of-the-art PrecisionDrive™ technology to enhance the output characteristics and accuracy. The PrecisionDrive™ LED driver series features ±3% accuracy in delivered current among output ports within a single driver IC, and ±6% deviation in delivered current among lots of driver ICs. The current varied with the LED forward voltage change is confined to 0.1% per volt. The current varied with supply voltage change and ambient temperature change is also restricted to 1%.

A Share-I-O™ technique is specifically applied to Error-Detection series and Current-Adjustment series . By means of the Share-I-O™ technique, an additional function, Error Detection or Current Adjustment, can be added to LED drivers, however, without adding any extra pins in package.
Thus, Error-Detection series and Current-Adjustment series could be a drop-in enhancement of PrecisionDrive™ series, without changing the printed circuit board originally designed for conventional LED drivers.
In Share-I-O™, based on PrecisionDrive™ series, LE and  can perform extended functions as follows:

Item / Product Pin Name
PrecisionDrive™ series (MBI5026 / MBI5168 / MBI5025 / MBI5167) LE
Error-Detection series (MBI5027 / MBI5169) LE / MOD / SW /
Current-Adjustment series (MBI5028 / MBI5170) LE / MOD /CA / SW
Dual Mode (MBI5029 / MBI5171) LE / MOD /CA / SW /

S-PWM™ adopts the concept of Share-I-O™ to enhance the image refresh rate. In S-PWM™ series, the clock signal for grayscale is sent to the chip through pin originally designated to OE. So,the S-PWM™ series is also a drop-in enhancement of PrecisionDrive™ series.
